How does payment work?
A 50% deposit books your project and starts the work. If you cancel before we deliver your first concepts, we refund half of your deposit. After first concepts are delivered, the deposit is non-refundable. The remaining 50% is due on delivery, before final files are handed over or your site goes live. Larger projects (over $3,000) can be split 50% / 25% / 25%. Retainers are billed in advance each month.
What counts as a revision round?
One round is one consolidated list of feedback sent at once, not ongoing piecemeal changes. Every package includes at least two rounds: most packages get 2 rounds, the Small Business Website gets 2 rounds plus 1 fix round, the Launch Kit gets 2 rounds per deliverable, and the retainer includes 2 revisions per request. Extra rounds are available at $60/hour, and changing direction after a concept is approved (for example, starting a brand-new logo concept) counts as new work.
How long will my project take?
Typical timelines: social graphics and landing pages 1–2 weeks, brand kits 2–3 weeks, UI design 2–4 weeks, and small business websites 3–5 weeks. Your proposal includes target dates for each stage. Timelines assume feedback within 5 business days and content delivered on schedule. Rush delivery may be possible for an added fee, depending on our schedule, and is always quoted up front.
What isn't included in the price?
Unless it's in your proposal: copywriting, photography, stock images or font licenses, online stores, booking systems, memberships, custom integrations, and hosting or domain fees. Third-party costs like hosting, domains, platform subscriptions, and plugins are paid by you directly, so you own the accounts.
Do I own the final work?
Yes. You own the final approved deliverables once they're paid in full. Unused concepts stay with the studio. We may show finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us not to in writing.
Do you build apps too?
We design web and mobile app interfaces (up to 8 screens from $2,000, with extra screens at $175–$250 each) and hand off the screens as PNG, PDF and SVG files, HTML/CSS, and a clickable HTML prototype for your developer. Need a simple front-end built from your designs? We'll quote it in writing. We don't build native iOS or Android apps or complex backends.
What will my website be built with, and can I edit it?
We hand-code sites in HTML, CSS and JavaScript and host them on Netlify, which keeps them fast and mobile-friendly. There's no page-builder dashboard, so later content changes are made by us through a Site Care plan, the design retainer, or at $60/hour. If you already have a WordPress, Squarespace or Framer site, we can work in your existing account on request, using access you provide.
How does the monthly retainer work?
From $750/month you get up to 12 hours of design time, one active request at a time with a typical 2–3 business day turnaround, priority scheduling, and a monthly check-in call. There's a 3-month minimum, then it's month-to-month. Unused hours don't roll over.
